memory of things

In 2008 I was invited by Detour Moleskine to make my own artist book. At that time, I was at my parents house for the summer going through all the super-8 films of my childhood. I wanted to use the classic format of journals, making my book personal, with thoughts, images and memories.

I am obsessed with memory because it can be subjective, selective and even induced. That is how ‘memory of things’ came to be. The idea of having a memory through a photograph or a film, and not knowing for sure what we really remember, interests me.
